Calling All iPhone Developers
OK. So we’ve taken the first few baby steps toward our vision for AppStoreHQ - our catalog of iPhone apps and developers is nearly complete; our “Hottest” list is tracking app mentions across the global blogosphere; and we’re tuning our algorithms to make sure our recommendations actually make sense (a non-trivial exercise, for reasons I won’t bore you with now).
So what’s missing from AppStoreHQ? You!
If you develop iPhone apps - either for yourself or as a hired gun for others - we’ve created a landing page for each of your published apps, as well as one for the brand you publish under. Each of these pages exists to help new customers - app buyers as well as potential contract development customers - learn more about you and your apps. And - as long as you can verify that you’re the developer of record (it’s easy, if you really are) - you can claim these pages and make edits to tell your customers the whole story.
So calling all iPhone developers - come to AppStoreHQ, claim your app and developer profiles and start getting your fair share of new customers!
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot to mention that claiming your page and making edits is completely free. We *do* plan to create a premium offering for both app publishers and contract dev shops so they can increase your visibility on the site, but the basic profile offering is - and will remain - free of charge to all developers.
